SAMHSA announces Robin’s Hope as a Finalist
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Virginia – The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) has chosen the Robin’s Hope program as one of the Finalists of the Recovery Innovation Challenge, which seeks to identify innovative practices in behavioral health that advance recovery on the ground and in the community. Over 300 submissions were originally received, and Robin’s Hope will be one of twenty Finalists to advance to the final round of judging scheduled for the week of September 12.
This challenge competition will offer up to ten awards depending on the judges’ overall scores, with a total cash prize amount of $400,000. Awards will be announced in October 2022.
Robin’s Hope; a program of The Jeremiah Foundation, Inc. is an innovative peer-run trauma recovery program with a center dedicated to helping adults heal from traumatic events. The program empowers individuals to thrive through a safe, peer-run community that provides connection, inspires hope, and promotes resilience. By offering groups online and in-person, these services address many mental health, substance use, and disordered eating issues and disorders. All groups are offered at no charge to participants and virtual groups can be accessed worldwide.
