Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce recognizes that full potential is realized when diversity and inclusion is the standard to strengthen and impact our community. It is our goal to build a source of resources that highlight and showcase the wealth of industry covered by minority and women owned businesses. We strive to identify opportunities that ensure equity through commerce and promote engagement that build these businesses throughout the region. We understand that this will take continued internal and external work to achieve these goals as well as a strategy to keep us focused and accountable.
Diversity Defined:
The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce defines diversity as any respect in which people or groups may differ, including race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, age, ability, beliefs, sexual orientations and business size/type. All Chamber initiatives designed to impact economic growth for businesses through diversity, equity and inclusion in the Chesterfield region. Recognizing we are after optimal impact; some programs and initiatives are designed to target specific demographic groups. Those decisions are based on need, volume and the Chamber’s ability to make the biggest impact essential to create a thriving, vibrant community.
